in color |
In
the aesthetic scope, Carmen produces a captivating
brilliance, with high translucency and outstanding depth
of colour. This brilliance in colour is the result of
prismatic effects in the microcrystalline structure of
the base material. Depth of colour as well as the laws
of light refraction lead to extraordinary results. The
reproduction indicates the same aesthetic and optical
characteristics as the natural tooth. |
| Stability
in bake, form &edge Stability |
Carmen
guarantees high bake, form and edge stability. This is
due to a high concentration of SiO2. This produces a
constant dimensional stability (i.e. no formation of
nodules, no collapsing at edges). |
Excellent
colour stability |
The
colour remains stable even after several bakes. Special
microstructures prevent an overabundance of oxidizing
metal particles that could cause undesirable changes in
colour. Carmen is a metal bonding ceramic that can be
applied to a wide variety of alloys (exceptions:
Titanium and alloys that are made for LFC ceramics). |

of alloy |
Carmen
is suitable for all standard metal alloys with TEC
(Thermal Expansion Coefficient value) of 14.1 X 10-6 /K
to 15.3 X 10-6 /K at 25ºC - 600ºC/77ºF-1112ºF,
especially for sensitive alloys with a high gold
content. |
| Low
bake temperature |
Due
to the lower bake temperature (870ºC/1598ºF) for
dentin and correction bakes, the alloys are exposed to
significantly reduced stress. Therefore the possibility
of deforming the metal base is greatly diminished. |
