HW8 shows various states of caries in posterior
teeth, approximately 8 times-enlarged. Model HW14
shows development of teeth, natural size, showing jaws
of a newborn child, 5-year-old, 9-year-old and an adult.
Model HW4/1 shows lower jaws of an 18-year-old, 3
times enlarged, showing left lower jaw with an
inflammation of roots skin (pericementitis) of the
canine and pulpitis of the first molar. Model HW12
displays right lower first molar, approximately 16 times

MIRAFIT
Fibre Carbon Posts are based on thorough researches in respect to material and clinical use showing excellent results. Root fractures did not occur. Due to homogeneity of restorations, Carbon posts are regarded as a useful alternative to conventional post systems without exception.
The key argument for the new generation of MIRAFIT root posts are the materials used. MIRAFIT posts are made of high-quality fibres which have been tested for clinical use and which are embedded in an epoxy resin matrix. Normally, these fibres are longitudinally bundled. For the MIRAFIT system, they are interwoven according to a patented procedure thus forming an extremely close-meshed and fatigue-resistant connection.
The mechanical characteristics are very similar to those of dentin and reconstruction composite which guarantees a completely homogeneous reconstruction of the tooth. MIRAFIT grants a unity of tooth structure, reconstruction material and post, they do not "work contradictorily" thus building a complete unity. The flexibility of the material is quite similar to dentin (unlike metals, such as e.g. Titanium).
